How To Create A Password Reset Disk For Windows Computer

Have you ever been frustrated because you simply could not remember your password and have no idea how to recover it without formatting the hard drive? So today am going to share with you guys an awesome tip and trick on you can avoid formatting the hard drive anytime you forget the password by creating a password reset disk.

Enough of me talking and lets get started with the steps.

STEP 1:

first of, you are going to need a removable disk. It could be a flash drive, external hard drive or so on.

STEP 2

Now plug the removable media in the USB slot and head “control panel” and type “password” without the quotation at the top right corner of the screen and select “create a password reset disk”  and a window will appear saying “welcome to the forgotten password wizard”, click “next” and select the removable media you wish to use and click “next” again.

STEP 3

Now type your user password (if you don’t have one, learn how to create your user account password) and proceed.

a green progress bar will appear and when it finishes creating the password reset disk, click “next” and then “finish” to complete the process.
