The digestive system is a real fuel factory, providing our bodies with
energy and vital nutrients everyday. This process is called digestion,
and it occurs generally silently, just like the majority of the
metabolism processes.
Generally, we don't realise that digestion is happening -on the
background-until we face a digestive health issue, and this is the main
reason why we should prevent these health disorders.
There are various simple lifestyle changes that we can make to
keep our digestive systems in good health, here is a list of 5 easy but very efficient tips helping you reach this goal :
1.Stay hydrated :
The body of an adult human being is made up of about 60% of water, every
organ and system in our body depends on this liquid, and the digestive
system is not excluded in this rule. Not drinking enough hardens stool,
which makes it difficult for the digestive tract to move it out. Try to
drink at least 1.5 liter of water
every day. This is not difficult
especially if you remember that you can drink other fluids and eat
fruits and vegetables with a high water content in
order to stay hydrated. This will help you to keep your digestive
system healthy, but also protects you from dehydration and its various
complications.

Most of us - Americans- eat too fast, first this causes obesity, and
second it makes the digestion process way more difficult. In fact,
slowing down and chewing food properly helps in breaking complex food
particles that may be hard to digest. Added to that, eating slowly gives
the stomach the time to secrete the enzymes needed to digest properly.

digestion process. Limiting your fat intake allows you to prevent
cardiovascular related issues, it facilitates food digestion as well and
it keep your digestive system healthy.
4.Get more fiber :
Consuming a diet that is high in fiber is a key to a keep your digestive
system healthy. Not only facilitates intestinal transit, but also, it
helps
prevent colorectal cancer. Moreover, fiber reduce sugar's digestion, keeping blood glucose at normal levels, which
reduces risk of diabetes.
5.Exercise on a regular basis :
Exercising regularly stimulates each part of the body, even the muscles
of the digestive tract, which reduces the duration of digestion. A 30
minutes regular exercise is a great way to prevent constipation as it
facilitates foods movement in our intestines. In addition, working out
