How to increase your Dropbox space by 3GB (permanent space)

Dropbox is giving away up to 3GB free space if you use Dropbox camera upload feature. But uploading photos of 3GB is a pretty annoying task if you have a net connection with a slower uploading speed. Here is a simple way to get that 3GB space quickly.

1. If you haven’t a Dropbox account yet you can sign up from here > Dropbox Sign up.

2. Use fsutil command (command prompt) to create few bigger sized image files.

 c:\>fsutil file createnew c:\mypic1.jpg 1300000000

(‘mypic1.jpg’ file will create on C: drive with a file size of 1.3GB. Create 2 more files changing the name and the size using above command.)

3. Copy those image files to thumb drive

4. Plug the thumb drive again, when the Dropbox popup menu appears upload those image files using “Camera Upload feature”.
It won’t take much time to upload those pics, with in 2-3 mins you’ll get the 3GB space. DONE!  Happy Dropboxing! :)

There is another cloud storage service with some advanced features than Dropbox service. If you are interested you can try “Cubby” cloud storage service which gives 5GB for free.
